Wearing a face mask is one of the most important safety protocols as it can avoid us to be infected by the C0V1D-19. But it seems like many people are still not following the said health protocol and still going outside of their house without wearing a face mask. With this in mind, it is suggested that anyone who will be caught violating the said safety protocol will be given severe punishment.

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Martin Diño is now proposing the imposition of punishment not only to those people who are not wearing a face mask but also to those who wear a face mask incorrectly.

In an interview on GMA News, Diño said they are now planning to implement the imposition of imprisonment sentence on anyone who violates not wearing and wearing a face mask incorrectly.

Undersecretary Diño said,

“Isa nga sa mungkahi na ‘tin, ‘pag ikaw ay lumabas ng bahay, wala kang face mask, ang parusa sa’yo, 30 ang pagkakakulong.”

He added,

“Pag naman naka-face mask ka tapos e nakalabas naman iyong ilong o bibig mo, 15 days naman ang iminumungkahi namin pare-parehas sa Metro Manila.”

According to the latest data released by the Department of Health (DOH) on August 20, more than 100,000 people have been infected by COV1D-19 in the National Capital Region of the Philippines.

As a result, commuters or public transport must wear a face shield starting on August 20. This is in addition to wearing a face mask as a double protection against the spread of COV1D-19.

The government also announced to always a face shield and face mask whenever going to public places like malls.

There’s still no cure that has been discovered for C0V1D-19 and the only thing that we can do for now is to take care of ourselves.

What can you say about this? Do you wear your facemask properly? Kindly share your comments, reactions, and thoughts with us.
