A 92-year-old grandmother was victimized by a certain group and stole her money.
In an interview with the senior citizen, she shared how million pesos she saved was stolen. It is said that the grandmother is victimized by the “budol-budol” gang even though we are facing a crisis now brought by the C0VID-19 pand3mic.
According to the YouTube video of GMA News, the victim, Lola Remedios Buizon met the suspect because they offered her a home appliance last month. The group of suspects even friended with her and offered her to invest in home appliances.

Balagtas, Bulacan chief of police Police Major Neil Cruzado said,
“‘Di natin alam kung gaano kagaling ‘yong skill nila sa pag-convince pero na-convince kasi according sa records ng bank ay talagang nagkaroon ng withdrawal.”
In an entrapment operation, 24-year-old suspect Anthony Jitula was caught after he accepted the victim’s money after withdrawing it.
Lola Remedios saved P7 million after working for more than 30 years in America. That is why she advises others to not trust people easily and be careful about the people who you will talk to.
She said,
“Mag-ingat sa mga kakausap sa inyo. ‘Wag kayong magtiwala agad. Hindi katulad natin lahat ang tao, may mga walanghiya ngayon.”
Lola Remedios added,
“Kay tanda ko nang ganito, aargabiyaduhin pa nila. Imbis na tulungan nila. Sa aking mga pinuno, ayon ang dapat nilang bantayan.”
The police also reminded the people to be more careful and cautious in their surroundings now even though the country is still under community quarantine.
Now that the crisis in the country is severe because of the C0VID-19, many people are deceiving their fellowmen just to earn money.
According to the authorities, there is also a “face shield” scam online ever since the government announced that people need to wear a face shield whenever they are going outside the house.
