All homeowners will definitely agree that the two most important factors when building a house is safety and privacy. In the family home of Megastar Sharon Cuneta in Mandaluyong, it is noticeable how much she values life far from the eyes of the public and without the showbiz spotlight.
The enclosed property has beautiful interiors. The outdoor area is a perfect place to relax or have fun during weekends. But what makes this home stand out are the air-conditioned kennel, two spacious living rooms, and how it can be a safe place to live in for Sharon and her loved ones. The multi-awarded actress revealed that she doesn’t need to go out of her house anymore as long as she has her kids, DVDs, and books.
Front Door
Two identical cushioned chairs and tables are displayed on both sides of the big main door. This area is covered with bamboo curtains. Sharon opted for it to be this way because she wanted the house to have a cozy and homey vibe.
Foyer
A sunburst-and-cherub sculpture that was bought by Sharon in Paris will welcome the guest. Similar chairs are placed on each side of the console cabinet.
Staircase
The staircase alone is very elegant and beautiful. It has marble steps and wrought-iron railings. A few steps from the round table is the elevator of the house. Sharon decided to have an elevator during the construction of the house for her sick mom.
Art Collection
Sharon also loves art aside from music. There is an area in the house where art and music meet. She has a mother-and-child painting in this area from the priest and painter, Fr. Armand Tangi. There is also a big framed music sheets in this area.
The El Dios Pan painting by Juan Luna defines the area. This artwork was inspired by The God of Pan or the god of music in Greek mythology. It was bought by Sharon’s friend, Claude Tayag in Madrid.
Aside from that, there was a horse carriage painting hangs on one corner of her house. The artwork is made by Antonio Leano.
First Living Room
The first thing that came to Sharon’s mind during the construction of the first living room is her friends and guests. This is the area where Sharon’s husband, Senator Pangilinan, entertains his guests. The area has a light mocha seating pieces. It also has paintings and flower arrangements together with lampshades that gives warm vibes to the area.
The door near the TV leads to the foyer area of the house. Underneath the AC units is sliding doors where the actress stored their food.
Second Living Room
This area is highlighted with bright red curtains and pillows along with the orange and red-colored decor pieces. The seating pieces in this area is in neutral colors. This is where Sharon displayed her collections of souvenirs from her travels abroad.
An antique console table that has a rose carving details can be found on one side of the house. Sharon bought it in Paris. This area also has paintings hanging by the wall just like the other parts of the house. Some were done by Anita Magsaysay-Ho, H. Store, and Mauro “Malang Santos”, a Filipino painter.
Dining Area
The 12-seater dining table was bought from a Paris weekend market. The wood may be old but intricate details of the table add to the appeal of the dining area. Chandeliers from Lovely Murano hangs over the dining table. There are also two paintings displayed in this area from Fernando Amorsolo.
Powder Room
The powder room is located in the dining area of the house. Marble partitions and light-colored glass were used in this area.
Kitchen Area
This area is one of Sharon’s favorites as she loves to cook and bake. It is filled with first class appliances. A dumbwaiter is placed near the microwave over. The dumbwaiter is a small elevator that is used to deliver food in between each floor of the house.
Outdoor Lounge Area
This area is located on the ground floor of the guest house. It is a perfect spot for enjoying light meals while simply having relaxation or reading a book. It has different kinds of seating pieces where guests can be entertained. It also has a bar counter which is meant for preparing snacks.
Outdoor Pathway
This area connected the two living areas of the house. It has tall bamboo trees and near the garden at the back of the house.
Swimming Pool
Another relaxing view of the house is the swimming pool. This area is both inviting and calming. The family definitely loves to spend their time in the pool during their free time.
