The Spanish team Barcelona achieved a moral victory over its rival Girona, by three goals to one, in the friendly confrontation that brought them together today, Saturday, as part of the Catalan team’s preparations for the start of the new football season 2021-2022.
Gerard Pique opened Barcelona’s goals through a penalty kick in the 21st minute of the match, then Re Manaj added the second goal in the 24th minute, before newcomer Memphis Depay concluded the Catalan team’s hat-trick by means of a penalty kick in the 85th minute.
Dutch star Memphis Depay scored his first appearance with Barcelona since joining him in the current summer transfer period on a contract that extends until 2023.
Barcelona had won a broad victory over its counterpart Jimansek by four goals, in the match that brought the two teams together recently at the Johan Cruyff Stadium in the second friendly match for the Catalan team, in preparation for the new season.

The Catalan club stated on its official website that for the first time in history, the “Juan Gamper” Women’s Cup match will also be held, between Barca and Juventus as well.
Barcelona indicated that the women’s match will be held first, and then the confrontation of Messi and his companions will start against Cristiano Ronaldo and his colleagues, in the presence of 20% of the capacity of the Camp Nou stadium.
