The media continues to reveal interesting details about the transfer of Lionel Messi from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.
And the newspaper Le Parisien blew up a resounding surprise that Messi did not receive a transfer bonus when signing with Saint-Germain, according to the leaders of the French club and the Argentine player’s advisers.
And the newspaper added: “Leo’s contract with Paris remains confidential, but over time some things are revealed, such as that he receives an annual salary of 41 million euros, and the Paris Club’s announcement that part of the rewards will be paid to the Argentine star in cryptocurrencies.”
He added that it was surprising that Messi did not receive a signing bonus, because he guarantees the player a large amount before he plays a match with his new team, as long as he joins a free transfer agreement.
Le Parisien confirmed: “If Messi does not have a transfer bonus, there is no doubt that his two-year contract includes many very tempting bonuses, so the Argentine star has given up very little of his image rights.”
For his part, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of the Parisian club, blew up another surprise by his statement through the daily L’Equipe, saying: “I don’t know if you know, but in January a club offered 600 million euros to Leo. I change from a 4-year contract, and of course I will not disclose Messi’s salary in Paris, but you have to imagine how much we saved in this deal.”
He added, “We concluded 4 free offers this summer for players with a market value of between 400 and 500 million euros.”
He concluded: “Some accuse us of violating the Financial Fair Play regulations, but our club was worth 2500 million euros, and now its value has increased to no less than 3000 million euros.”
