Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman issued a statement against Argentine Lionel Messi, who recently moved to Paris Saint-Germain after the expiration of his contract with the Catalan club.

Koeman said that Messi was greatly appreciated for his supernatural abilities and a wonderful physical level that was reflected in the way he played in the matches, but also extended to Barca’s training, describing the Argentine star, as he put it, as a tyrant.

Messi left the ranks of the Blaugrana last summer, after about 22 years spent inside the walls of the Catalan club, amid a great surprise that shook the sports community.

Ronald Koeman referred to the quality and ingenuity of Lionel Messi during Barcelona’s training, stressing that he refuses to lose even in training.

And according to what was reported by Goal in its global version, Koeman said, “Lionel Messi won everything, he was very good with us.”

“Of course he was with great players, but he made the difference, and everyone looked better because of him,” the Dutchman continued.

He added, “I knew how wonderful he was, but it was still good to see him closely every day, how he plays under pressure, how fast he finishes the attack, Messi is not normal.”

He continued, “Before the training period ended, you would see some players starting to hit the easy balls, and a little messing around, but with Messi it was completely different, playing to win everything.”

And he concluded his speech, “We always play Rondo before training, at that time I asked Messi if he had lost the Rondo against the youth team once, and he said yes to me once, and he was very angry, really Messi was a tyrant in training.”
