Barcelona is preparing to start the renewal process for promising midfielder Jaffe, by starting talks with his representatives in the coming days in order to renew his contract.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona is preparing a 5-year contract, with an increasing salary over the years of the contract, and after the player’s brilliance with the Spanish national team, it will not be as easy as expected.
Jaffe is not the only name on the list of contract renewals in the Catalan club, where the wingers Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembele, defender Ronald Araujo and young midfielder Pedri.
Barcelona is intensifying its negotiations with Fati to resolve matters early, especially after obtaining the number 10, which has become vacant for the first time since 2008, with the departure of its holder, Lionel Messi, the club’s legend, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain.
So far, there are not many developments regarding Dembele’s position, but recent reports have indicated that Barcelona is close to taking a firm stance in this process, by placing the French wing in front of two options: either renewing or not participating for the end of his contract.
Barcelona intends to try to sell Dembele in the winter for any compensation if he does not sign his new contract, similar to what he did with Ilich Moriba, who delayed the renewal, so he was excluded from the team until he was sold to Leipzig at the end of the summer transfer market.
As for Pedri, most reports indicate that he is already approaching the renewal, after completing the agreement on the financial details.
