Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez made his first decisions within the Barcelona technical staff, before leading the first training today, Tuesday, in preparation for facing Espanyol in the Catalan derby, after the end of the international break.
According to information received by the Catalan newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, Xavi Hernandez decided to oust the duo, Albert Roca, the physiotherapist, and Juango Brau, the physiotherapist from the Barcelona technical staff, before the start of his mission with the Blaugrana.
The newspaper pointed out that the duo, Albert Roca and Juango Brau, were officially notified that they were outside the technical staff of the Barcelona team under the leadership of Xavi Hernandez.
She added that Xavi Hernandez intends to rely on other people in his technical staff, because he sees that the physical preparation and physiotherapy in Barcelona have a major factor in the players’ injuries and the low level of physical fitness.
And she concluded that Barcelona coach Xavi is planning to return Dr. Ricard Bruna, the former medical director of the first team, but there is a problem that he has a contract with the UAE club Sharjah.
