Barcelona started implementing a plan to strengthen the team’s offensive line with special deals before the opening of the next winter transfer window.
The Barcelona team suffers in this period from the absence of the attacking duo of Aguero and Braithut due to injury. In addition, the Dutchman Luke Young left the Blaugrana list because the Catalan club was not convinced by him.
In this context, the Spanish newspaper “Sport” revealed that Xavi wants to sign the star of the Algerian national team, Baghdad Bounedjah.
The newspaper pointed out that Xavi spoke with the Barcelona administration, and asked to open the door to negotiations with the Qatari Al-Sadd regarding the inclusion of the international striker in the “Desert Warriors” team, next January.
“Sport” added that Bounedjah would be very useful for Barcelona’s attack, in light of the health crisis that Sergio Aguero suffered recently, Ansu Fati’s repeated injuries, and the fluctuation of Martin Braithwaite’s level.
The newspaper stated that Xavi was Bounedjah’s coach in the Qatari team Al-Sadd before his move to Barcelona
