English press sources revealed that Barcelona is seeking to conclude a reciprocal deal with its counterpart Arsenal in the upcoming winter Mercato.
It is known that Barcelona “is in dire need” of a striker, with the board of directors willing to make concessions to new coach Xavi Hernandez in this regard despite the financial constraints.
Recently, Barcelona has become the solution to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s problems with Arsenal, as the Spanish club is looking for a striker to include in the January transfer window.
For its part, Barcelona’s management understands Aubameyang’s current situation at Arsenal, as the club announced on Tuesday that he had been stripped of the captaincy due to disciplinary violations.
Besides Aubameyang, Barcelona consider Manchester United’s Edinson Cavani another strong option.
According to the British newspaper, The Independent, the Catalan club officials prefer exchange deals.
And the newspaper said that the agents put forward the idea of exchanging Aubameyang for Ousmane Dembele, especially since both are in the same wage category, which is more than 200,000 pounds, as it is known that the Arsenal star earns approximately 300,000 to 500,000 pounds.
Therefore, Barcelona wants to take advantage of Dembele if he does not decide to renew, as his contract expires at the end of the current season.
