And she continued, “Xavi called Morata to find out his opinion, and the player admitted to him that he is not comfortable at the moment in Juventus, and he will go to Barcelona with closed eyes, and the coach promised him that his joining will go far beyond the idea of loaning for 6 months.”
And the newspaper announced that Barcelona plans in the summer to sell Griezmann permanently to Atletico Madrid for 40 million euros, and buy Morata at the same price, to become a level playing field.
She said, that Morata has a good relationship with several players in the ranks of Barca, his colleagues in the Spanish national team, led by captain Busquets, Pedri, Fati and Alba.
And the newspaper confirmed, that contracting with Morata, means the final departure of Luke de Jong, and possibly the transfer of Memphis Depay in the summer.
The newspaper stated, that the 29-year-old Morata will have to reduce his current salary (10 million euros net) to adapt to Barcelona’s financial crisis.
It is worth noting that the Spanish player Morata played for four major European clubs, namely Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, with 471 games so far, during which he scored 176 goals, and provided 61 assists.
