Spanish press sources announced that Barcelona decided to get rid of 5 players from the Blaugrana ranks in the current winter transfer market.
And according to what the Spanish newspaper “AS” reported, the Blaugrana administration made a final decision to leave this quintet: Luke de Jong, Sergio Dest, Philippe Coutinho, Samuel Umtiti and Demir, outside the Camp Nou in the ongoing winter market.
The newspaper pointed out that the Barcelona administration is seeking to resolve the file of deals and departures from the team this season, especially after the start of the current winter transfer period.
And the newspaper said that the Spanish coach, Xavi Hernandez, Barcelona coach, was not convinced by some of the Barca players, who could not prove their ability after giving the coach the opportunity to participate for everyone.
Reports indicated that Laporta’s management is following a plan to sell or loan some of the team’s stars to provide a huge financial value, conclude high-caliber deals, and reduce the salary ceiling.
It is worth noting that Barcelona had announced in an official conference its contract with former Manchester City star Ferran Torres, in a deal that amounted to about 55 million euros.
