Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez, coach of Barcelona, spoke about the upcoming confrontation, during the press conference for the Granada meeting in the framework of the Spanish League competitions.
Xavi said that his team’s preparations for the confrontation will be strong, noting that Barcelona has improved a lot during the last period.
And the Spanish coach promised Real Madrid, saying: “We will compete with any team, only Bayern Munich was better than us during the last period, but we have improved.”
He continued: “We will compete with Real Madrid and try to win the championship. The players have improved since the loss of Bayern Munich and they understand well the project and the model that we are trying to form.”
Barcelona recently supported its ranks with the inclusion of Spanish striker Ferran Torres, the English star of Manchester City, for 55 million euros, after Pep Guardiola, the Celestial coach, allowed him to leave the team and began a new journey.
The Brazilian Felipe Coutinho left the team this morning, after the club officially announced his move to Aston Villa, on loan, until the end of the current season.
