Spanish media revealed, on Sunday morning, the details of the agreement signed between Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona club, and his counterpart, Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, which decides the future of the two teams’ stars.
Real Madrid and Barcelona met in the El Clasico, at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, on Wednesday, January 12th, and ended with Meringue winning by three goals to two, and the royal qualified to the final match of the Spanish Super Cup.
Real Madrid managed to win the Spanish Super Cup last week, after defeating Athletic Bilbao, with two clean goals, in the final match of the competition.
In this context, the Spanish newspaper “Marca” announced, today, that an agreement was signed between Barcelona and Real Madrid, stipulating not to interfere and negotiate with players from both teams, and this includes the academy players.
The newspaper pointed out that the agreement included that if the player’s contract expires, things will be completely different, and in that the economic power of either club plays its ability to lure the player.
The report indicated that during the last Clasico match in Riyadh, with the emergence of news of Real Madrid’s interest in the inclusion of Ronaldo Araujo, from Barcelona, Laporta asked Perez about the validity of this and the latter denied the interest.
Barcelona will meet its counterpart Deportivo Alaves on Sunday evening at 11:00 pm at the “Mendizorosa” stadium, in the 22nd round of the Spanish Premier League “La Liga”, for the season (2021-2022).
