According to Sport1, both clubs are going through a tense moment in their relations. Barcelona were alarmed by their approach to Pedri and Dest and their plans against them.

Other than what happened in the green, where Bayern Munich has been a nightmare for Barcelona in recent seasons, the office relations between Barcelona and Bavaria are not at their best.

According to German media Sport 1, there is a lot of tension between Barcelona and Bayern. Triggers? Pedri and Serginio Dest. The Spanish midfielder and the American winger like each other at the Allianz Arena and didn’t use their best arts to try and wear both players in red.

Hasan Saliha Hazmic, Bayern’s sporting director, is fond of Pedri and, as AS already reported, made him an offer before his renewal which quadrupled his previous record.

Bayern, in general, were so convinced of his signature that they wanted to make the Canary the most expensive player in the club’s history, surpassing the 80 million euros that Lucas Hernandez paid to Atletico. The interest, with the former player at the helm of the squad, has been in play since the summer of 2020. The Bavarian sports department had already tried to sign Pedri on loan upon his arrival from Las Palmas. Barcelona refused.

This second time, it was Pedri who put the brakes on Bayern and renewed with Barcelona, but although everything went well for the Catalans, they do not forget that these negotiations behind their backs were not good at all.

This same “way of action”, according to Sport1, happened with Dest. This is explained by a direct source from the club cited by this method. They add: “Bayern spoke to the Barcelona players without informing Barcelona about it. It cannot be said that the relationship between the clubs is very bad, but it is not what it used to be.”

And they add in this medium, that Barcelona provoked a reaction to these actions by the German club. The Catalan team has already begun to show interest in Niklas Sule, a Bayern Munich defender, and wants to get two “pearls” from the German academy, Kenan Yedez, 16, and Gabriel Vedovic, 18. At the moment, they say, no negotiations have been opened. The tug of war has been pulled and Barcelona are following their plan.
