It seems that the two poles of Spanish football will enter into a fierce competition with Liverpool in order to sign a goal in the summer Mercato 2022.
Liverpool tried to sign Fulham’s rising star, Fabio Carvalho, in the last days of the January transfer market, but Jurgen Klopp’s team did not succeed in completing the deal worth 5 million pounds.
Liverpool management remains confident they can secure a deal for the 19-year-old with his contract expiring at the end of the 2021/22 season on a free transfer.
As a free player, Carvalho will be able to negotiate with any team in July, with Fulham deserving of the formation payout for the Lisbon-born player.
And according to the Spanish newspaper AS, the two Spanish league giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, are considering a move to Carvalho, as Liverpool faces a battle to persuade him to move to Anfield Road, after new options emerged outside the Premier League.
And the newspaper said, that the England Under-18 national team player has managed to attract the interest of top clubs in Europe, with only Spanish parties having to pay a maximum amount of 500,000 pounds in compensation, according to FIFA regulations.
