In this context, Spanish press sources revealed that five major European clubs are seeking the services of Barcelona’s talent, Nico Gonzalez, during the upcoming transfer market.
Barcelona had recently announced the promotion of Nico to the first team of Barcelona and inclusion in the list of the Spanish Football Federation, to be at the disposal of Xavi Hernandez, coach of the Blaugrana.
The young star has a contract with Barcelona that lasts until 2024 and a penalty clause of 500 million euros.
According to the Spanish newspaper, “Marca”, the young Barcelona midfielder, Nico Gonzalez, is receiving the attention of several big clubs.
The newspaper said that 3 of the clubs are English, and confirmed that one of them is Manchester City.
This is in addition to a fourth club from the Italian league, and a fifth club from the German league.
The newspaper pointed out that the 20-year-old had an exciting season in 2021/22, and became one of Barcelona’s stars in the midfield.
Reports indicated that the young man wants to increase his salary after the impressive levels he provides with the team.
Nico Gonzalez played 29 games with Barcelona this season in various tournaments, during which he scored two goals and made another.
