Former Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has expressed his dissatisfaction with critics of Lionel Messi’s girlfriend, after the criticism leveled at him after the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Messi did not appear at the level expected of him during the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in the first leg of the sixteenth round of the European Champions League, which was held at the “Princes Park” stadium, and he also missed a penalty kick in the middle of the second half.

Sergio Aguero, who recently retired with heart problems, criticized the treatment received by Messi after that match, as the former Barcelona player does not understand the criticism leveled at the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Aguero defended the flea desperately, and expressed his anger through his channel on the site “Twitch”, and decided to boycott the French media.

Aguero said: “Messi played well, he broke the lines, not because he is a friend, but because he played hard, he was very good and energetic.”

The retired player continued: “In France, newspapers and magazines massacred him, they are just fools.”

And the Argentine continued: “I was going to give an interview to a French magazine, but I said no, because I support Messi, now I’m angry.”

And the newspaper “L’Equipe”, among a number of French newspapers, had launched a severe attack on Messi after facing Real Madrid.

The authentic French newspaper gave Messi a rating of 3 out of 10 for what he did against Real Madrid, which is the worst rating for any of the Paris Saint-Germain players.

Commenting on Messi’s performance, he said: “There is something sad to see him like this.”

She explained that Messi was suffering physically, especially in individual confrontations, and continued: “His shots hit the defenders before he missed a penalty. This version of Messi is very worrying.”

Despite Messi’s good performance in the match, his missed penalty kick, which was successfully saved by Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, was the cause of harsh criticism of the Argentine.
