Spanish media revealed that the Barcelona administration had developed a plan to try to lure the Norwegian star Erling Halland, the Borussia Dortmund player, and persuade him to move to the Catalan team in the next summer Mercato.
The Norwegian player is considered a target for many European clubs, led by Barcelona and Real Madrid, especially after it was confirmed that he could leave the German team, starting in the next summer transfers, after paying a penalty clause of 75 million euros.
According to information received by the newspaper “Sport”, the Norwegian striker is the main target of the Catalan team next summer, and indeed Joan Laporta, president of the Catalan club, has held several meetings with Halland’s agent, Mino Raiola, in recent months.
The Spanish newspaper pointed out that in addition to enjoying a strong relationship between the Barcelona administration and the player’s agent, and Halland’s desire to play in Spain, the Blaugrana administration has many elements that it is trying to exploit to persuade the player to wear the Barcelona shirt.
The most prominent of these factors is that the Barcelona administration will tell Halland that he will be the most important element in the team’s project for the coming years, and he will be surrounded by many distinguished young stars, such as Ansu Fati, Pedri, Jaffe, Ferran Torres and others, and he will be the team leader.
Then the 21-year-old will be Barcelona’s first advertising face and lead all the team’s commercial campaigns. He will also offer him a contract in which he will receive 20 million euros for five seasons, and he will be the highest paid player in the Blaugrana ranks.
And the newspaper stated, that the Blaugrana administration made a promise to the current Borussia Dortmund striker, that it will amend his contract and increase his salary once the economic crisis that the team is currently going through is completed, so that the team achieves its goal and wins the Champions League again.
