Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez expressed his great happiness after his team’s 4-1 victory over its host Valencia, in the 25th round of the La Liga competition.
Xavi praised the level presented by his players in front of the difficult rival Valencia, and rained four goals on the bat team.
Xavi made press statements after the match in which he expressed his happiness with this result, saying: “I feel very satisfied with what the team has provided. We knew how to play, and we faced pressure. Very important points that we gained from a difficult stadium, I am very happy.”
When asked about his team’s difficult match in the European League, he replied, “Napoli? We will play a very important match against a strong opponent, but today I am happy with what we achieved against Valencia in Mestalla.”
He appealed to the future Barca trio, saying to them: “I hope that Pedri, Jaffe and Nico will do a lot, bring happiness to our hearts, and do more than what I, Iniesta and Busquets did.”
He added: “We have to take care of Pedri properly, there is no greater talent in the world than him, he is only 19 years old, a truly exceptional player.”
And he said in his speech: “Ronald Araujo is really amazing, because he played with discomfort, but he presented a great level, and he held up excellently. We preferred to rest Eric Garcia in the second half, and De Jong was not feeling comfortable, and this is the reason for his replacement.”
And he concluded: “All the players are improving. Serginio Dest when I came was not a good level, but now he is much better.”
Barcelona is in fourth place in the Spanish league standings with 42 points, while Valencia is in 12th place with 30 points.
