Commander Busquets’ advice saves my Blaugrana jewels
Talks continue about Barcelona’s efforts to return to the local and continental podiums, after a period of technical and economic collapse, which affected the Catalan club during the last year in particular.
And over the past few months, Barcelona managed to regain some of its luster, after the arrival of coach Xavi Hernandez to the Camp Nou, and the reinforcements made by the administration in the transfer market last winter.
The Spanish captain, Sergio Busquets, captain of the Barcelona team, commented on the events that took place within the ranks of the Blaugrana during the recent period, with the presence of various variables within the team’s dressing room.
Busquets spoke, through the “Tot Costa” program on Catalan radio, about both Gavi and Araujo, the team’s defender, who have become Barcelona’s main pillars, while the club faces the risk of losing them with the end of their contract.
Busquets said: “I spoke to them many times, gave them advice, and they know that nothing is wrong with Barcelona, the city and the dressing room.”
And the Catalan captain continued, “They come from here, they have played in Barcelona for years, and they have many years in their career. They can go later to the English Premier League or the American League, but to leave early? I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
He concluded in this regard: “Frankly, I know people who did this and regret leaving, they always regret.”
It is noteworthy that Barcelona is in third place in the La Liga standings, with 54 points, while Seville is in second place with 57 and Real Madrid is at the top with 66 points.
