The Spanish team Barcelona continues to search for the completion of the contract with the Brazilian Ravenha, the player of the English team Leeds United, during the next summer transfer period, and after the end of the current season.
According to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is looking to sign the Brazilian player in order to succeed Frenchman Ousmane Dembele, who will leave the club this season and has not reached a contract renewal.
The Catalan team is trying to take advantage of the strong relationship between the management of the team headed by Joan Laporta and the former team player and Ravenha’s Portuguese agent Deco, but the only obstacle represented in the deal is Leeds United’s request for 75 million euros in the event that the team does not relegate from the Premier League.
The newspaper pointed out that Barcelona will try to push several names from within the club to reduce the value of the deal, namely, the American Sergino Dest, the Spanish Oscar Mingueza, the French Clement Longlet and the Danish Martin Braithwaite, who are outside the accounts of the Spanish coach, Xavi Hernandez.
Barcelona is preparing to face its counterpart Seville in the framework of the 30th round of the Spanish League, and the team is in third place with 54 points, while Seville is in second place with 57 points.
Barcelona will also meet its German counterpart Frankfurt in the quarter-finals of the European League next Thursday.
