Polish channel TVP Sport was certain about their report that Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is hypothetically a Barcelona player now.
Contrary to their claim, however, a fresh report from Mundo Deportivo has said that the team from Catalan has not even negotiated with the player, let alone agreeing a deal for the transfer in the summer.
Lewandowski, 33, has a contract until 2023 with Bayern and although the Germans still haven’t entered talks with their frontman, it is believed that the Poland forward will be on the move after the ongoing season.
As MD quotes, Barcelona have indeed explored the chances of signing Lewandowski, but nothing has been made official. In fact, the team is only seeing him as one of the many options to consider and not the only one.
Although what is certain is that they have received an offer from the player’s camp which more or less confirms he wants to leave Bayern in order to don the royal blue of Blaugrana.

As of today, despite several difficulties, Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland remains Barcelona’s top priority.
Xavi and his coaching staff will have no problem in working with a 33-year-old Lewandowski, but they are waiting to see what happens with Haaland. first.
Reports in Poland have suggested that Lewandowski has already communicated his decision to Oliver Kahn that he does not want to continue in German beyond the current season.
They also say the forward had a telephonic conversation with Barcelona officials where he said ‘yes’ to move but the team has outrightly denied these claims.
Now, Barcelona understands signing Lewandowski will not make a big hole in their pocket both in terms of salary as well as the transfer fee [compared to Haaland].
At the same time, they are cautiously approaching this deal since Lewandowski is already 33 and does not represent a long-term future.
If Haaland decides to snub Barça, the team can take the advantage of the fact that Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has a great relationship with the club president Joan Laporta.
