Susan Roces and Fernando Poe Jr. are considered two of the pillars of the showbiz industry in the Philippines. Susan was the movie queen during the prime years of her showbiz career while FPJ is known as Da King. The couple tied the knot in the year 1968. Their wedding was also considered iconic as it is very rare to see that the “king” will be marrying the “queen”.
Even though they faced a lot of setbacks and trials during their married, the couple able to survive the challenges and lived happily together until FPJ l0ss his life in 2004.
Because of the time that had passed since that iconic wedding day in 1968, you can’t expect that their wedding video would still be in great shape though the couple made sure that it was well-kept. Good thing that there are several ways to restore old videos now. The wedding of Philippine Cinema’s Kind and Queen is only among those that benefited from this.
Their wedding video was restored and many netizens were very happy when FPJ Productions shared it on social media in 2017.
The online community, especially their fans became nostalgic and very grateful that they were able to see the wedding video of the young FPJ and Susan Roces. They also witness again the most memorable and special event in the lives of their idols.
A certain Millet Lopez stated that she was very grateful to someone who decided to post the video, saying that it is the best gift to them as fans who were still not born at that time.
Lopez said that she first saw Susan Roces in the movie “Inday, Inday sa Balitaw” in 1986.
One Lilia Santos then said that the video only showed how good-looking the couple was. She added that the iconic couple will always be her favorite.
