During the past few days, the intention of the Barcelona administration appeared in the future of the Dutch coach, Ronald Koeman, and that his continuation was only a matter of time until there was an appropriate alternative, so the coach deliberately provoked the Catalan administration during the team’s press conference for tomorrow’s match against Cadiz outside his stadium.
The Dutchman surprised everyone at the press conference, as he appeared in the press room, but did not accept questions and then simply read a statement he had written, only to leave the press room later.
Barza explained that reading the statement was Koeman’s strategy, and the club’s management did not know anything and there is some discomfort about it.
What did Koeman say in the statement?
Ronald Koeman entered the press room to conduct the conference on the sidelines of tomorrow’s match and began reading the statement.
The statement read: “Good morning everyone. The club is with me in a state of rebuilding. The financial situation of the club is related to the sport, and this means that we have to rebuild the team without being able to make big contracts.”
He continued, “Football needs time, and young players can become world stars within two years. The good thing is that young people will be able to get opportunities like Xavi and Andres Iniesta, but they need time and patience.”
He added: “We must be patient so that we can be among the best teams in the world. In the Champions League, you cannot expect many miracles. The defeat against Bayern Munich must be taken into account, the team must be supported by word and deed.”
He continued: “The press knows this. This is not the first time that these things have happened in the history of FC Barcelona. We rely on your support in difficult times. We as a team and players are very happy with the support we received from the fans in the Granada match.”
Koeman then left the conference hall in Barcelona and left without answering any questions from journalists, as is usual before and after any match the team plays.
What is Koeman’s last position?
It became clear to everyone that the Dutchman’s continued leadership of Barca is surrounded by doubts, in the midst of the difficult conditions the club is going through at the local and European levels.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Koeman faces a final test, in the team’s match with Cadiz away from home tomorrow.
All indications confirm the necessity of beating Cadiz, as well as against Benfica in the Champions League next week, in order for Koeman to keep his job.
